The history in the novel is the meaning of the inner life and subjective experience of the individual.

therefore, it is considered the axis of the narrative structure and the essence of its formation as a whole, it is impossible to neglect it; because it works on understanding the narration process, and employing it within the narrative body contributes to the progression of events and the statement of their past and present.

through our reading of the novel "Harissat el Dhilal" by Waciny Laredj in forming his narrative structure, he relied on history in all its details, he tried to restore don quichotte's biography by going back to history; but with the remains of a past that he could not control much of its mechanisms, what role did history play in giving the novel its final form and image? and how did Waciny Laredj deal with the past as a format within his novel? was he able to use it in "Harissat el Dhilal"? these are all questions that we will try to answer in this research.
