Abstract EN

This study aims to identify the most important factors influencing turkey's foreign policy towards the Arab region since the justice and development party came to power in 2002, by focusing on the impact of elitist economic variables (as independent variables) on turkey's external behavior (as a dependent change) towards Arab countries.

it relied on the historical and descriptive approach in analysing the factors that led to turkey's new foreign policy orientations towards the Arab region at the political and economic levels.

the study concluded that turkey's foreign policy in general and specifically towards the Arab countries, governed by a set of factors and determinants, including what is constant and what is changing, the economic determinant was one of the most important factors affecting Turkish Arab relations, as benefit and interest are fundamental motives for various policies, and the role of the humanitarian factor and the influence of policymakers and the justice and development party elite on turkey's foreign policy orientations, and the role it played in reshaping turkey's foreign relations, cannot be overlooked.
