Abstract EN

The book Nahj al-Balagha has received the attention of scholars, hadith, language, literature and rhetoric from the time of its composition to the present time.

The object of admiration, the focus of attention, and the knowledge of the methodology of Sharif Al-Radi in transcribing the messages of the Imam (peace be upon him), was a very dangerous matter that needed to be studied and acquainted with reliable historical sources; Because the researchers sparked a violent debate about the sermons, books and sermons attributed to the imam, which were completed by al-Radi in the year 400 AH.

Besides researches on documents of sermons and letters and sayings of Imam Ali, this research based on descriptive-analytic approach tries to determain Seyed Razee’s method in selection imam’s letters.

And the findings of this research show that he wasn’t only the narrator of different narratives, but he has been selecting the eloquent and pretty ones, and some times deleting their documents, and inserting his own saying among them.

And he has sonsidered the tase of his time in selection the sayings.

In fact, it can be said that selection of letters, has been made according to his theoretical foundations.
