Abstract EN

The current study aimed to identify the reasons for modesty in the Scientific research production of the study community by measuring the degree of their response to the goals and challenges of scientific research and the prospects for its development according to the study tool that was designed for this purpose, and answering the questions and hypotheses of the study due to the variables of the study.

The current study concluded that the response of the study community to the goals and challenges of scientific research and the prospects for its development came to a medium degree, and that the highest levels of response to the goals of scientific research were: increasing academic performance and professional achievement, and that the lack of an appropriate research climate in the institution due to the increased teaching, academic and administrative burdens came as the highest challenges of scientific research, While the preparation of the strategic plan for scientific research at the university and in the colleges represented the highest degree of response to the prospects for developing scientific research.

The current study concluded that there are no statistically significant differences at the level of significance (a < 0.05) for the objectives and challenges of scientific research and the prospects for its development at the College of Administrative Sciences at the University of Najran due to the variable of gender and scientific department, While it found that there were statistically significant differences at the level of significance (a < 0.05) due to the variable of academic qualification, scientific title, and years of service in academic work.

The study came out with recommendations that serve the subject of the study.
