Abstract EN

This study aims to highlight the importance of communication and information technology in the field of financial services, and trying to determine the effects of financial technology on the economy, by addressing the theoretical concepts related to the concept of financial technology and start-ups that practice their activities in this field, with mentioning the experiences of some leading countries.

The study concluded that the spread of financial technology led to a decrease in customers' dependence on banking services as a primary provider, and it was also able to change the structure of financial services on a large scale and at the level of the economy in general.

But the lack of supervision by the official authorities, and the lack of legislative texts regulating start-ups that are active in this field, can cause economic and social damage.
