This study aims to explore the extent to which pragmatics can be used to foster the communicative ability of Arabic language learners in an educational teaching approach with pragmatic objectives and teaching techniques.

in this study, a descriptive approach was utilised, and a questionnaire was distributed to Arabic language teachers in the field.

the study results show that the pragmatics can be used as an educational approach for teaching Arabic language as a second language.

it was demonstrated that the use of pragmatics as an educational approach would achieve the pragmatics objectives, build pragmatic teaching content, and fill learners’ pragmatic needs to effectively communicate with native speakers.

the study recommends the use of a pragmatic teaching approach in order to raise the competency of pragmatics teachers.
