The social protection systems approved by the states during natural disasters help to cope with crises because they constitute a means of protective deterrence against them.

this is why the Algerian state, during the corona pandemic, took the initiative to develop social protection policies by approving financial and other aid.

in-kind and material assistance and exemptions in the social field, in particular for groups affected by this pandemic on the legal level, ensure a kind of penal protection for such assistance by criminalizing and punishing certain forms of manipulation and deception to obtain a such assistance illegally in accordance with the provisions of articles 253 bis 1 to 253 bis 5 created by ordinance 06 / 20 amending and supplementing ordinance 66 / 156 on the penal code.

therefore, this study came with the aim of clarifying the model of the criminal policy of the Algerian legislator in the face of counterfeiting offenses to obtain subsidies, public aid and social exemptions by the weapon of criminalization and punishment., and to assess the effectiveness of this policy.
