Algeria is rich in many archaeological areas spread over its different regions, representing different civilizations that have passed through its lands through the ages, including many world heritage sites (such as the Kasbah of Algiers, and the roman ruins of Tipasa , Jamila, Timgad, as well as the castle of the Bani Hammad, and the Tassili N'ajjer) and the M'zab valley).

this represents an important haven for archaeologists to study the evolutions of human behavior over the ages, in addition to being an important economic resource for the state in the event that it is optimally exploited in the tourist aspect, and for this the Algerian state has arranged numerous punitive sanctions on all those who are exposed to these archaeological sites, until that is not enough because these sites are witness to looting, and this is what which obliges the Algerian authorities to develop new legal mechanisms to preserve these sites before it is too late.
