The relationship of the historical discourse with the narrative discourse appears in the novel Angels and Demons for the American novelist Dan Brown by draying inspiration from many aspects of Christian history, what personalities reveal, especially Robert Langdon as they justify their current positions regarding various historical events either by defending it, showing the absurdity of the church’s viewpoint and actions, or showing his mockery of the history and historian he writes.

The historical discourse employed in the novel Angels and Demons had a tragic dimension by exposing the heinous practices of the Vatican against science and scholars.

What proves this in the novel, and through the process of trying to take revenge on the church that was behind the concealment of this fact.
