Abstract EN

This article seeks to apply the theory of conversational implicature in a new and contemporary context, which is some of the discourses on the National Day of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and published in the media.

It presents examples of them to show the deliberative effect of violating the rules of conversational implicature, or adherence to them.

Therefore, this matter spent the definition of conversational implicature and its linguistic and philosophical foundations, with reference to some of the criticisms leveled at it.

The aim of this research is to show that non-compliance with Grace's rules leads to the emergence of implicit meanings that the linguistic structure does not seem to express .
