in an effort to provide the necessary protection to the delinquent child, the Algerian legislature has adopted a procedure of penal mediation under the child protection act in order to open a channel of communication between the delinquent child and the victim and to transform the state of collision between them by compensating the victim in return for the latter's renunciation of the right to initiate public proceedings, thereby contributing to the rehabilitation of criminal mediation delinquent child to be a good member of society.
