Abstract EN

This study aimed to reveal the level of orientation towards life and the degree of frustration of juvenile delinquents in northern Jordan and its relationship to some demographic variables according to the variable of their educational level, the variable of their level of family relations, the economic level of the family, and the variable of the educational level of the family (father, mother).

To achieve the purposes of the study, the researcher used the life orientation scale and the frustration scale that was prepared by (Scheier & Carver, 1985) and developed by Al-Ansari (2002) for the Arabian area, and the frustration scale that was prepared by (Girand, Everly,& Dusen) and developed by Askar (2000).

And indications of the validity and reliability of this scale were found, and the sample consisted of (77) juvenile delinquents, and the data was analyzed by finding the arithmetic averages and standard deviations and finding the value of (T).

The results of the study showed that the level of total orientation towards life and the level of total frustration among juvenile delinquents was low to medium, and there were no statistically significant differences at the level of significance at (α ≤ 0.05) at the degrees of life orientation of juvenile delinquents regarding to the educational level variable for them and the educational level variable of the family (father, mother), and there are statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α ≤ 0.05) in degrees of orientation towards life among juvenile delinquents regarding to the variable of the level of family relations in favor of good family relations, and the variable of the economic level of the family in favor of the level of more than 500 dinars The study also showed that there are no statistically significant differences at the level of (α ≤ 0.05) in the degrees of frustration of juvenile delinquents regarding to the variable of their educational level, the variable of the level of family relations, the variable of the economic level of the family and the variable of the educational level of the family (father, mother).

The results were discussed in Light theoretical literature and previous studies, and some recommendations were suggested based on the results of the study.
