English Abstract

The study aimed to show the level of post-traumatic stress disorder resulting from the war among mothers in the Gaza Strip.

2021, a post traumatic stress questionnaire was applied to them, prepared by the researchers, after verifying the validity and reliability of the tools.

The results of the study were as follows: The levels of post -traumatic stress are determined according to the descending dimensions (psychological conflict, emotional disturbance, anxiety, nervous disorder, psychological stress, depression, periodic disorder, frustration) Where the percentage of post-traumatic stress in mothers ranges between (84% - 91%), there are no statistically significant differences in (emotional disorder - psychological conflict - anxiety), while there are statistically significant differences in (international disorder).

Irritation, nervousness, depression, frustration and psychological pressure) according to the educational level of mothers in favor of less than secondary school, while there are no statistically significant differences in (cyclical, nervous and emotional disturbance, depression and frustration), and there are statistically significant differences in (psychological conflict, anxiety, psychologica l stress) among mothers according to For the age variable in favor of the younger age, there are also no differences in the variables (emotional disorder and conflict), while there are statistically significant differences in (cyclical disorder, nervousness, depression, frustration, anxiety, psychological stress) among mothers according to the number of children, and the researchers recommend intensifying counseling programs To relieve post-traumatic stress of war in children and mothers.
