International justice and freedom are intended to preserve dignity, and ensure equal rights and freedoms for all: failure to recognize such nghts gives rise to chaos and barbaric violations and abuses.

therefore, an international law guaranteeing and protecting human rights should be m place to ensure permanent justice, and prevent suppression of freedom and prevalence of injustices.

this study is intended to throw the spotlight on international mechanisms and international law as well as the role of police in the realization and protection of human rights.

inductive method was used to explore provisions of constitutional anfi legal agreements constituting the fundamental mechanisms for consolidating and entrenching international human rights.

analytical method was also used for the analysis and operationalization of such provisions and fundamental principles in police work.

key findings.

the need for ensuring the application of the norms of international human rights law worldwide within a legal context: the application of norms of international human rights law is the main characteristic of progress and prosperity of nations and is the true measure of individuals' practice of all nghts and freedoms: the need for humane treatment of all people and protection of all of their human rights within a framework of a procedural, legal and international nature.

study contribution: throwing the spotlight on the international mechanisms for realizing and protecting human rights: explaining the role of police m ensuring security and enforcing law: their delegated authority to realize that; the constitutional, conventional and legal foundation of human rights and demonstrating policemen commitment to human rights in exercismg such authority.
