Introduction : child abduction cnme is among the most serious issues to emerge in the legal and social ideology.

the high prevalence of such crime made its combating of a paramount importance: children are the fundamental component of family, and therefore, crimes against them, particularly cnme: affecting children's freedom destabilize families.

legislator, owing to the senousness of the cnme.

had to reconsider criminalizing such behavior, along with prescribed penalties.

key objective: creating mechanisms for countenng child abduction cnme.

so that it can be eradicated or reduced whether through international solidarity or internal legislation.

method used: analytical, description method was used through which Algerian; French and American legislations were studied, as well as some of the provisions of penal, and criminal procedure codes in addition to the study of child protection code and the analysis of some of its relevant provisions.

findings: children enjoy a high degree of protection at both internal level: by means of legislations on criminalization and punishment, and the international one: by means of international conventions and agreements.

study contribution: describing child abduction crime according to jurists and legislators, and analyzing mechanisms for combating such crime both internationally and nationally.
