Abstract EN

The present research deals with allusion and its impact oncoherence- a Study on Al-Fadakiya Speech.

The plan of the researchis to be made into three chapters.

One of them tackles allusionwith its meanings linguistically and idiomatically.

Parts of allusionand its manifestations in Al-Fadakya Speech play so active a role incombining the severed parts of the text and make it coherent.

So allusion holds diverse forms to create spiritual relationshipsand the research concludes that the allusion is but a spiritual processmade up by the speaker and inculcated in the mind of the listener byway of employing obscure words suggestive of things or situationsor persons or phrases or beyond the text area, or irrelevant to thedesired meaning.

Whether the expression is found or not in a specific linguisticcontext or non-linguistic one with the aim of using the least succinctwords, it combines the latter with the former and vice versa in away that can achieve the desired textual coherence.

A thorough study of the honorable Al-Fadakya Speech revealsthe aesthetic value of the text in the light of strictness of the wordsused or intended to be used and the correct sequence of the wordsand their unprecedented tightly - linked cohesion.
