Abstract EN

The current research aimed to reveal the degree of performance leadership efficiency of primary school leaders in Jeddah from the point of view of the teachers in the school discipline index in its fields (controlling the absence of female students, regularity of study, controlling the absence and delay of teachers, and completing the teaching of courses) during the distance education period.

to achieve the objectives of the research, the researcher used the descriptive survey method based on a questionnaire prepared by the researcher for this purpose, and the research community was represented in all primary school teachers in Jeddah governorate, while the research sample was represented by (390) female teachers.

the study reached several results, the most prominent of which are : that all areas of performance leadership competency for female leaders of primary schools in Jeddah during the distance education period obtained high efficiency degrees, and an arithmetic average of (3.99), and the field of student absence during the distance education period had the highest average arithmetic and its value (4.08), then the field of regularity of study during the distance education period with an arithmetic average of (4.04), then the field of completing teaching courses during the distance education period with an average value of (3.97), at last the field of teacher absence and delay during the distance education period with a mean of 3.90.

and there were no statistically significant differences in the degrees of performance leadership efficiency of primary school leaders from the female teachers’ point of view during the distance education period in the school discipline index due to the variable years of experience, and the presence of statistically significant differences in the performance leadership efficiency degrees of primary school leaders from the point of view of female teachers during the distance education period in the school discipline index are attributed to the educational qualification variable, in favor of the higher academic qualification.

in light of the previous results, the researcher made a number of recommendations, most notably : the necessity of increasing the school administration’s interest in communicating with parents whose daughters are absent from classes through the educational platform, by activating text messages and official letters to parents.

and the necessity of increasing the school administration’s interest in alerting its students to the presence of textbooks during electronic lessons from the first day of study, by setting dates for the delivery of textbooks well before the beginning of the school year.

and the necessity of increasing the school administration’s interest in raising to the education department the names of absent and late teachers without an excuse, by sending weekly reports to the education department.

and the need to increase the school administration’s interest in alerting teachers not to exclude lessons from the curriculum through the educational platform, by recalling the letter of the ministry of education related to this.
