Abstract EN

This study aims to identify the degree of the educational supervisor's contribution to the professional development of novice teachers in Qasabah Irbid directorate schools from the novice teacher's point of view in the areas : planning and evaluation, classroom management, and the detection of differences between the estimates of the study sample due to the gender variable, the study followed the descriptive approach.

a sample of novice teachers consisted of (160) male and female teachers for the academic year 2021 / 2022.

to achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher prepared a questionnaire as a tool for data collection, and it consisted of (24) items distributed equally in three areas : (teaching planning, evaluation, and classroom management).

the results showed that the total arithmetic mean of the estimates of the study sample to the degree of the educational supervisor's contribution to the professional development of novice teachers amounted to (3.54), with a medium degree of appreciation.

arithmetic (3.72), and it contributes to a medium degree in the professional development of novice teachers in the fields of (teaching planning and evaluation), and with an arithmetic average of (3.47) for the field of planning for teaching, and (3.45) for the field of evaluation.

the study recommended that the educational supervisor should focus on aspects related to teaching management.

and evaluation strategies, and holding professional training courses on an ongoing basis for novice teachers, especially in the first year of appointment.
