This research aims to study the phenomenon of the nickname in the Holy Qur'an, that phenomenon that distinguished Arabic over other languages.

The research adopted the descriptive approach with the use of the analytical and historical approaches.

The nickname dealt with language and terminology, and the significance of the nickname in the Holy Qur'an, as the research dealt with fourteen Qur'anic nicknames arranged in alphabetical order, standing for each nickname by mentioning the opinions of the interpreters and linguists, trying to declare its purpose, and the research concluded with the most prominent results.
