Abstract EN

This study examines the phenomenon of "The Linguistic Collocations in the Glorious Qur’an and How to Translate them into Hebrew in the Two Translations of Uri Rubin and Subḥi ʿAdawi for the Meaning of the Glorious Qur’an: A critical, analytical study".

It aims to realize whether or not the translators realized the importance of the linguistic collocations and their indications and their ability to choose the most suitable equivalent when translating them, since this requires full understanding of the indication of this correlation, which is considered one of the aspects of the inimitability of the Glorious Qur’an.

That is because the translator has to well understand the text in which the collocations play a vital role, not to commit any mistake when translating into the target language.

This study consists of a preface, introduction, three chapters and a conclusion.

The introduction highlights the significance and limitations of the study.

As for the preface, it examines the definition and the most important patterns of collocations.

Chapter One highlights the point on how to translate collocations when they modify nouns and when they are modifiers.

Chapter Two examines the translation of collocations in the case of genitive while Chapter Three examines collocations in the case of coordination and conjunction.

As for the conclusion, it contains the most important findings of the study.
