Abstract EN

The Qur’an expresses the words denoting gender in gentle terms that exclude disapproval and mix with a cultural quality that we rarely see in other texts.

It is natural that the process of transmission and translation becomes difficult, as it requires several verbal and moral actions by the translators.

Based on this focus, these research papers aim to shed light on how these words were transferred in the first Persian translation written in the fourth century AH from the language of the Qur’an into Persian based on Peter Neumark’s theory of translation strategies.

The results of this research show that the process of transferring sexual words was carried out using various strategies, the most important of which are: transfer, literal translation, employing cultural synonyms, borrowing and using another Arabic word instead of a Qur’anic word.
