Adaptation cinématographique : du roman au script

Abstract EN

This paper focuses on the statements of the French novel from the publisher to the producer in particular what makes the script a sui generis text with a multilingual filmic vocation.

After reviewing the increasing role of publishers and the author/producer complex relationship, we can identify how a novel becomes a script.

And finally, how the script is translated for a multilingual version and how the translator's difficult position between the author and the scriptwriter is emphasized.

Cet article analyse les énoncés du roman français depuis les maisons d'édition jusqu'à la production en particulier tout ce qui fait du scénario un texte sui generis à vocation filmique multilingue.

Après avoir brièvement revu le rôle prépondérant des maisons d'édition et les rapports complexes auteur/réalisateur, on peut distinguer comment un texte romanesque devient un scénario.

A la fin, comment le scénario est traduit pour une version multilingue en soulignant la position délicate du traducteur entre l'auteur du roman et le scénariste.
