Continuing to trace the development of the political and military situation in Algeria during the period of its association with the Ottoman Caliphate, especially during the reign of the Pashas, which extended from 1587, the date of the death of the last Bailirbays of Algeria, El Alj Ali, until the removal of Pasha Ibrahim from the Pasha of Algeria in 1659, a system of government in which the Ottoman Sultan reduced The custody of the rulers of Algeria is for three years, in order to ensure their loyalty.

This measure also touched all the rulers of the Maghreb countries under his authority, in order to facilitate their monitoring and follow-up of their movements, and to create a kind of stability in the region.

And to try to stand at the reality of the development of the political and military situation in that period in Algeria on one hand, and in the field that surrounded it on the other hand, it will be exposed through this article to its various aspects, its most important events and operations, in an attempt to be as brief as possible on the subject, by reviewing the most important developments witnessed, as well as the various stages passed.
