Abstract EN

The book of Minhaj al-Balagha and Siraj al-Adaba by Hazem al-Qirtagni is considered to be one of the most prominent critical and rhetorical works that attempted to establish the theory of Arabic poetry and to treat the weakness that occurred in Arabic poetry in his time.

in fact, it worked on providing a treatment recipe that enables the building of the poet and the meaning of poetry in terms of finding drafting in systems, accuracy in the selection of meanings, and injury in choosing appropriate weights for poetic experience.

in regard to the argumentative energy that the word possesses; persuasive and influential, Hazem used in the title of his book the strategy of persuasion, through (the pilgrims by word), in order to convince the reader of the content of his book, and get him to act accordingly.

hence, this study seeks to clarify the argumentative function of the word in the aforementioned title, through a comprehensive analysis of the lexical meanings and morphological structures of the title words: “Minhaj”, “al-Balgha”, “Siraj” and “Aliba”.
