The subject of disarmament of all kinds of weapons of mass destruction is distinguished by its renewed and increasing importance and precision.

as one of the rich, multi faceted issues raised at the present time, especially since the issue of disarmament is one of the issues that states do not stop calling and demand for, because this issue has a great impact on the establishment of a state of international peace and security.

thus, this matter has become the focus of the international community’s attention to address it within its responsibility to carry out this task, in recognition of the dangers and proliferation of weapons of mass destruction that poses serious and wide ranging damage, repercussions and bad effects on humanity and international peace and security.

accordingly, our study came to examine the interrelationship between the disarmament of weapons of mass destruction and the achievement of international peace and security.

in this field, the issue of disarming and confronting and addressing weapons of mass destruction falls within the tasks of the security council and its central and main role in the issue of maintaining international peace and security.

in carrying out this, it is based on the provisions of the united nations charter and the issuance of its mandatory decisions in this regard within the application of collective security measures against the party violating international peace and security, and this is what is addressed by the research in our hands, where we will try to address it through its vocabulary indicated in the research.
