Abstract EN

The phenomenon of globalization has spreaded in a way that has affected all areas of life, including the legal field in general and criminal field in particular.

in addition to what the technological and informational developments and the evolution of communication have led to it, in terms of changing societies‘s structures, manners of peoples, values and social norms, it has contributed to the emergency of a new types of transitional organized crimes, this crimes have benefited of loopholes in national criminal legislations and the weak performance of the national criminal law to achieve their objectives of threatening the state’s security and stability in the world.

for this reason it has placed on the shoulders of that states the necessity to intensify their efforts whether at the national level through, a review of their criminal systems, or the international level from during the drafting of international texts that are bindings on ratifying states by setting up effective mechanisms that work on globalization of criminal law and improve it performance in line with terrible criminal development.

this is what the Algerian legislator is trying to achieve by harmonizing the criminal system with international treaties and conventions ratified by Algeria.
