Abstract EN

The fast development of Islamic banking and its emergence as an alternative to traditional banks, especially in Islamic countries, was not a coincidence, but due to its main role in the economic development to serve the general interests of the society.

Algeria adopted this kind of banks, actually in a modest manner compared to Arab and Islamic countries.it is true that this banks has witnessed a continuous development, but it still suffer from several challenges that trouble the functioning of these banks.

Through this intervention, we will address the nature of Islamic banking on the one hand and the Islamic banking in Algeria on the other hand ,also, what are the most important challenges facing them, and what are the requirements for developing work in Islamic banks in Algeria.
