a concept that exists in the Islamic jurisprudence.

Though one must accept the fact it was al-Shaṭibī & Elghasali who rediscovered it.

al-Shaṭibī touched about al-Ma’ālāt in his book al-Muwāfqāt.

The aim of this research is to re-present the concept of al-Ma’ālāt, thereby shedding light on its relationship with Maqāṣid alshariah.

the method used is Qualitative.

In the light of the concept of al-Ma’ālāt, with highlights the relationship of al-Ma’ālāt with the Maqasid al shariah.
