Abstract EN

This study aimed to identify the electronic competencies of teachers in the Jerash education directorate as determined by the principals, educational supervisors and heads of departments.

choosing an accessible sample that consisted of (100) individuals from the study community.

the study tool was a two-part questionnaire.

the first part included demographic data: gender, experience, and scientific level.

the second part included electronic competencies represented in two axes (computer use competencies, competencies the use of the internet), and its stability was confirmed by calculating the internal consistency coefficient (Cronbach's alpha) and its value was (0.85), and the internal validity coefficient was calculated and its value was (0.87), and the results showed that the level of electronic competencies among teachers in Jerash governorate was moderate to high the results also showed that there were no statistically significant differences in the degree of availability of competencies due to the educational level variable.

and there are differences in estimating the degree of teachers’ electronic competencies according to the variable of gender and experience, and the study recommended a set of recommendations, the most important of which are: paying attention to evaluating teachers’ electronic competencies to meet their training needs and motivate them for professional development.
