Abstract EN

This study deals with the crime of power abuse in Jordanian legislation compared to international conventions, specifically the United Nations Convention against Corruption and the Arab Convention against Corruption.

The text contained in the United Nations Convention against Corruption was adopted to analyze the crime of abuse of influence, study its elements and characteristics and the penalty prescribed for it in Jordanian legislation.

In addition to talking about the mechanisms of combating corruption in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the researcher divided the message into five chapters.

The first chapter was devoted as a general framework for the message.

The second chapter the author dealt with the crime of abuse of influence and its distinction from others, where the researcher initially dealt with what is meant by the exploitation of influence in language, legislation and In jurisprudence, the reasons for its criminalization and its characteristics.

Afterwards, the researcher moved on to distinguish the crime of abuse of power from similar crimes.

The third chapter, dealt with the general provisions of the crime of abuse of influence in terms of the elements of the crime, criminal participation and the punishment.

In Chapter Four, the mechanisms of combating the crime of abuse of influence as a corruption through international agreements and regulatory bodies responsible for combating corruption is explained.

In the fifth chapter, the researcher reached, after completing the preparation of the thesis, a set of results and recommendations that came as a natural result of the content of the thesis.
