Sudan enjoys a strategic location linking the African and Asian continents and is adjacent to a number of countries, which made controlling its borders very difficult.

to the entry of multiple migrations and different ethnicities in different periods of time over the ages.

facilitated the process of immigration to Sudan, as there are no natural obstacles to prevent it from the north, east or west, in addition to the warmth and acceptance of Sudanese society for new arrivals, which facilitated the process of their assimilation and blending in Sudanese societies.

most of these migrations entered Sudan were religious migrations coming from the west and commercial migrations.

in addition to small migrations looking for an ideal homeland or land suitable for agriculture and grazing.

besides other goals, including economic ones, these migrations affected the Sudanese structure and increased the tribal diversity in Sudan, which had the most profound impact on the economic, social and religious aspects.
