Access to information is one of the most important ways to develop and enhance the mobility of scientific research, The majority of universities represented in their university libraries have set out to create digital repositories that provide various information sources without obstacles or restrictions.

The importance of the study stems from the effective role of digital repositories as one of the most important mechanisms that enable researchers to freely access information and from scientific exchange and communication, which helps support the mobility of scientific research.

the study works to answer the following question: To what extent professors rely on digital repositories to improve the level of scientific research in Algerian universities? The study relies on the descriptive approach and the questionnaire tool with a sample of university professors to find out the most important proposals that increase the effectiveness of digital repositories in developing and supporting scientific research on the one hand, and on the one hand, to identify ways to develop digital repositories available on Algerian university websites in providing content and promoting digital publishing.
