Abstract EN

Community security is among the most important rights states must grant to their citizens and residents.

It is the first priority for every individual in society, and constitutes the main pillar in bringing about societal stability enhancing capacity to develop and build modern societies.

It also contributes to disseminating a culture of tolerance within society.

The idea of the current research originated with that in view.

The research objectives are: shedding light on manifestations of poor tolerance practice; defining the role of promoting a culture of tolerance in achieving community security and formulating a program for social work general practice to promote a culture of tolerance as a mechanism for achieving community security.

Using inductive approach, the current research is considered among future studies.

The following are the key findings: there are problems associated with poor tolerance practice, including violence, intolerance, family problems and weak self-compatibility with social environment.

Findings have also shown the fundamental role of promoting a culture of tolerance in achieving community stability and security, and formulating a program for general practice of social work to promote a culture of tolerance as a mechanism for achieving community security.
