Abstract EN

Excellence is the primary goal of all organizations, especially the police, because reaching excellence means creating a fully efficient and effective policing system.

It also means the ability to do police operations with high accuracy and proficiency and to provide its services in accordance with its’ customers’ expectations and aspirations.

Excellence is also a way of sustainability, competitiveness, and leadership .

The study described the concept of excellence, the differences between excellence and other similar concepts, why organizations seek to reach it and explain the outputs of its application .

The study showed that the outputs of applying excellence program are not limited to developing and enhancing the institutional performance but also to the individual performance .

The study came up with a series of findings, of which the most important is that achieving development and improving performance requires organizations to adopt more modern concepts; foremost among them is the excellence concept, especially with the rapid change occurring in many aspects of life .

The study also came with several recommendations; most importantly is that police organizations that are applying excellence’s concept share their experiences and knowledge with similar organizations to ensure the contiguous progress.
