Abstract EN

The present research revolves around the concept of ethical structure of youth in Arabic language with reference to its significance as it emphasizes shaping, structuring and instilling virtuous values in the human self, in general, and youth in particular.

Next, the research discusses this concept throughout the verses of the Holy Qur'an which have repeatedly referred to the command of acquiring good manners by means of displaying various instances of giving commands and interdictions, applying the approach of persuasion and intimidation, using the narrative style as well as other styles which support the acquisition of good manners.

Likewise, the prophetic traditions of Muhammad peace be upon him have urged youth to acquire good manners having in mind the character of Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him as the embodiment of a real and practical example.

When Lady Aisha (May Allah be pleased with her) was asked about the manners of Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him, she replied his character was the Noble Qur'an.

Accordingly, the prophetic styles of directing youth towards acquiring good manners have been varied from giving command and interdictions to the approach of persuasion and intimidation; persuading the youth of accompanying Prophet Muhammad on the doomsday, having a palace in the heaven, living a luxurious life or even greater matters befall them as a result of such acquisition.

Moreover, the worshipper may win Allah's pleasure and get the degree of a fasting man for the good manners he acquires.

As for the intimidation, those who acquire bad manners would lose their good deeds and reward on the doomsday.

Finally, the research has referred to one of the prophetic styles to be utilized by youth which is the style of recommendation as Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him has left behind numerous recommendations for youth to help them grow good values in themselves and bring them up in a faithful environment.
