Abstract EN

The study aims to identify the challenges facing the implementation of quality in higher education institutions in Libya, especially at Zawia University.

the descriptive and analytical approach was used for this purpose and the questionnaire was used as a tool for data collection.

the results of the study showed that the administration of Zawia University is convinced of the importance of implementing the quality system.

the results also indicated that there are challenges to implementing quality from an administrative point of view as well as from a legislative point of view, due to deficiencies in legislation that regulate the quality requirements at the university.

the results also showed that there are financial obstacles and human obstacles to the implementation of quality at the university.

the study recommended the necessity of overcoming the administrative, human, financial, technical and legislative challenges to implement quality at the university.
