Abstract EN

This research deals with Ibn Sayyidah’s interest in directing the readings and his care for them.

However, there are some places where the author mentioned the Qur’anic verse on one of the Qur’anic aspects of the verse, citing it on some linguistic and semantic issues without referring it to a specific reading, or leaving other readings, which has led some to believe that there might be no other reading of that particular verse.

However, he did explain the reading in question, which indicates his interest in explaining it.

Nonetheless, the research manage to trace other places and found a number of the other readings that it attempts to clarify and analyze in order to show their elaborations by the author to highlight his role in it.

The research also aims to clarify Ibn Sayyidah's use of those readings to argue for certain grammatical, morphological, or rhetorical issues.

This research follows the descriptive and analytical methods.

Among the most important conclusions of this paper are: Ibn Sayyidah’s had displayed his interest in explaining those readings; he has used Quranic readings as one of the sources in validating certain issues in Arabic; he cited the readings to argue for the correctness of certain pronunciations in the language and the their meanings; he always mentioned certain words, their meanings and conjugations followed by the relevant Quranic verses; it is also apparent that Ibn Sayyidah's approach to explaining the Quranic readings are methodologically numerous; his elaboration included several aspects such as by clarifying its meaning, or indicating that they are types of dialects, or explaining it morphologically or grammatically.
