Space is formed from two basic features, sensory features, which are material perceptions and their boundary conditions, and moral features, which are intangible influences, represented by the general atmosphere affecting the assets, specifically the characters.

Places may take on a leadaing role in a novel similar as the heroic role that influence on the character of the protagonist and his/her domination in the novel.

The researcher dealt with the subject through a theoretical introduction in which she dwells on the concept of place, and then observes the unique features of the prominent places in the novel and their impacts on the protagonist as well as how the spatial feature formed the narrative of the event through its influence on the protagonist by following the descriptive analytical method.

The research attempts to investigate three aspects: the concept of place and its implications, places in the novel and its sensory and moral features, the positive and negative impacts of the spatial feature on the characters of the novel.

The study found that the impacts of the places in the novel ‘The Land of God’, which talks about the story of slavery of Omar Sayed were divided into two parts: the first is the positive influence represented in the home represented by the house in Fota Tour, Tuba Mosque as the two most important influential places.This was manifested as the influence on the external and internal features of the protagonist; the character had moved along the length of the narrative of events under this influence.

As for the second negative influence, represented in the house of slaves, the farm, it has the most prominent negative impact on the character of the protagonist, and thus the character oscillated between two influences that formed its structure.

The shorter temporal influence remained dominant with its positivity despite the temporality of the negative influence.
