Abstract EN

This research discusses the rhetoric used in Palestinian folk proverbs.

I first present detailed definitions of the terms and concepts shown in the title which serve as an introduction to the analysis, enabling a better understanding of the proposed interpretations and meanings.

I then divide this rhetoric into three main parts: verbal meanings, declared meanings, and creativity.

I have reviewed more than 200 proverbs from which I have selected the most representative examples for this study.

The research process was long and tedious, while at the same time challenging and fascinating.

What is revealed through this research is one of the many layers of the intricate and complex linguistic structures that these proverbs represent, emphasizing the educational and ideological richness that these proverbs express in terms of courteous and cultural language and rhetoric.
