Abstract EN

This research is a pause with the political, administrative and jihadist biography of the third Caliph Othman.

It is a contribution to clear the darkness over some minds, which have wrong understandings of Othman's personality, his politics, administration and jihad.

Also, to be as milestones for researchers to expand on Othman's biography, his works and his politics.

In conducting his research, the researcher follows the historical descriptive approach.

The research has concluded to several findings the most important of which are: that Othman bin Affan was from the elite nobles of Quraysh with praiseworthy conduct in the pre-Islamic and in Islam era.

He was the fifth of the five who entered Islam in Mecca and embraced Islam at the hands of Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq.

In return, he was a cause of embracing of several of companions to Islam.

Furthermore, he was one of the wealthy who sacrificed his comfort, his luxury and his money for the sake of his religion.

He migrated to Habasha twice.

In addition, he closely accompanied the Prophet (Peace be upon him) in Medina as well as the two Caliphs after him.

He took part in many battles and never moved back except in the Battle of Bader upon a request form the Prophet (Peace be upon him).

In Al-Radhwan Allegiance, his mission was to negotiate with Quraish and played a great role in it.

Also, he had the prominent role in financing the Battle of Tabuk.

Among his noble contributions to Islam to compiled Quran in Book.

Last but not least, he was chosen for the Caliphate and no one disputed when elected Caliphate.
