As a consequence of the consequences suffered by the international community as a result of terrorism, the United Nations has been preoccupied with the fight against this scourge since its foundation.

For this purpose, the United States of America declared the war on terrorism after the attacks of September 11, 2001, by launching military operations against states that declared their support for international terrorism on the basis of legal foundations, among others the right of self-defense and intervention in the name of the legitimacy of the fight against international terrorism.

Only large states have used the fight against terrorism as a means of pressure to impose their policies and the realization of their particular interests by violating the principles of international law and individual or collective human rights
