This article aims to show how solid and liquid organic fertilizers are produced.
It deals with the conditions that must be met to produce a good organic fertilizer in terms of temperature, humidity, aeration, the size of particles, the C: N ratio and pH of fertilizer.
The article also discusses how to prepare plant residues and animal waste for the purpose of completing the decomposition process and producing fertilizers.
The article also includes the specification of fully decomposed organic fertilizer as well as the permissible limits of heavy elements and pathogenic microorganisms.
The article deals with the factors controlling the decomposition time and the raw materials involved in the production process, and highlights with the content of some organic fertilizers from NPK as well as the preparation of aqueous extracts from the fertilizers (compost tea).
The article also includes preparation of humic fertilizers (humic and fulvic acid) and how to separate them from humen and each other.
