The current study aimed to evaluate the psychometric properties of the Procrastination Assessment Scale of Students (PASS) based on Item Response theory (IRT), the scale was administrated on 450 students among which (212) males and (238) females from college of Education and Arts in Northern Borders university.

The sample was chosen according to stratified random sample strategy during the first semester of the 2019/2020 college year.

The researcher used the PASS developed by Solomon & Rothblum (1984) which contains 52 items and cover three main dimensions.

The researcher as well utilized MULTILOG program to calibrate the scale items according the Graded Response Model (GRM).

The results indicated that 44 items in their final form were graded on a single linear scale, and that acceptable values of difficulty and discrimination indicators were obtained according to Item Response Theory.

The results as well showed high values of item and test information functions, indicating the accuracy of scale items that measure academic procrastination among university students, they also showed high values of marginal reliabilities of the subscales compared with their corresponding values.

In light of that, the researcher recommends to utilize Procrastination Assessment Scale of Students in the future research as it has good psychometric properties after being rationed according to Item Response Theory.
