Abstract EN

This study deals with the change in money supply and its effect on inflation rates in Sudan during the period from 1985-2019, the study aimed to identify the money supply and its development in Sudan during the study period, to identify the speed of money circulation and its development in Sudan, and to clarify the effect of changing money supply and the speed of money circulation on inflation rates in Sudan during the study period.

the importance of the study is represented in the importance of the role of money supply and the speed of its circulation in influencing negative and positive changes in the prices of goods and services, and then reaching clear digital mathematical results through which solutions and recommendations are presented to those in charge of controlling the money supply in order to limit the negative effects of inflation on the national economy.

the study relied on a descriptive and analytical approach to interpret and analyze the impact of money supply and the speed of money circulation on inflation in Sudan during the period 1985-2019 using the statistical package program (Eviews-9.5).

the study found results, the most important of which is the increase in money supply, which leads to an increase in inflation rates in Sudan, meaning there is a positive relationship between the money supply in Sudan and inflation rates during the period 1985-2019, and also the increase in the speed of money circulation in Sudan leads to an increase in inflation rates in Sudan.
