The Red Sea is an important waterway that connects the Mediterranean basin through the Suez Canal and the Gulf of Suez to the Indian Ocean through the Bab al-Mandab.

Many marine ships pass through it for various civilian and military purposes, as well as many tankers and ships passing through it in the pa& and in recent research operations, especially those related to the nature of the sea.
