Abstract EN

The aim of this paper to stand on the effectiveness and efficiency of the Libyan banks in providing banking services and the performance of its functions under the regional and international variables encountered in the world today, especially the banking industry.

The questionnaire was designed to collect data on the side of the field and distributed to 120 employees from 6 banks of the Libyan Arab Jamahiriya is Bank of the Republic and Sahara Bank and the Bank of unity and Trade and Development Bank and National Commercial Bank and Bank United of trade, and were answered on 89 questionnaire.

The study found that the banking services provided by banks is still a traditional and a rise in cost, leading to its inability to compete, and recommended the development of banking services and the introduction of modern technology in banking operations, which in turn reduces the cost.
