Abstract EN

The Maghreb has known many of the major cities that contributed to the building and development of Islamic cultural heritage in general and the Maghreb in particular.

Among these cities is the city of Bejaia, which dates back to the Phoenician era.

The city of Bejaia gained great importance in most cultural fields, in the Almohad era especially economic ones.

It became an economic center with distinction, benefiting from its geographical position, which mediates the countries of Maghreb and Europe, as well as the commercial mediation between these parties.

This study attempts to shed light on Bejaia city in the economic field, which has reached it in the regional and international fields.
