Abstract EN

This study aimed to identify the degree of availability of e-learning competencies among faculty members at the universities of Hadhramaut and university of Saba region.

to achieve the objectives of the study, the researchers used the descriptive survey method, through a questionnaire of (67) items, distributed on four axes, applied to a sample of (105) faculty members, and used arithmetic averages and standard deviations, a «t» test, and a single variation analysis to analyze sample responses.

the results of the study revealed that the evaluation of the level of faculty members at the universities of Hadhramaut and Sheba province in the republic of Yemen in e-learning competencies came as follows : in the field of e-learning culture competencies, computer use competencies and its accessories, and network and internet competencies with a “medium” degree.

while their evaluation, in the field of e-learning design and management competencies, came with a «low» score.

the results of the research did not show statistically significant differences in the degree of competencies attributed to gender, and academic qualification, the number of training courses in e-learning, while there were differences in the axes of computer use and its accessories, and the use of networks and the internet due to the variable number of years of teaching experience in favor of the least experience, and statistically significant differences appeared for the college variable in all areas of the tool and in favor of the scientific colleges.

in light of the results of the study, the researchers made a number of recommendations and suggestions, including benefiting from the results of this research when preparing training programs for faculty members in the field of e-learning, and conducting a similar study that includes the rest of Yemeni universities.
