Abstract EN

This study investigates the causes and factors that led to the fall of the Funj Sultanate (also known as Sultanate of Sinner), the first and largest Islamic kingdoms in the Sudan, whose appearance constituted an important model in raising the status of Islam and preserving the Islamic cultural heritage and the Arab-Islamic culture.

It was established at the beginning of the sixteenth century (1504 -1821 AD) as a result of this alliance between the Funj chaired by AMARA DUNQAS the leader of the Funj and ABDALLAH JAMMA the leader of Al-Abdala and resulted in the leading role played by this authority in the history of Sudan in all fields as its borders extended from Swakin east to the White Nile to the west and from the Abyssinian Plateau south to Al Shalala Al Thales to the north, the kings of Fung and the sheikhs of Al-Abdala shared the kingdom’s influence.In the historical sources, it is known for several names from (Sultanate of sinner-Kingdom of Funj-the Blue Sultanate).
