Abstract EN

This study aimes to identify The effectiveness of, the interactive e-book in teaching Scratch program, in developing high-order thinking skills, among the sixth-grade students in Palestine.

The researcher used the quasi- experimental approach.

The study tools were a test for higher-order thinking skills and an interactive e-book contained programming chapters.

The study sample consisted of (70) students who were randomly chosen.

The sample was divided into two groups.

The experimental group (35) students, Who studied according to the interactive e-book, and the control group (35) students, who studied according to the usual book.

The result of the study showed that there was a statistically significant difference at the level (α = 0.05) between the mean scores From the students of the experimental group and their peers in the control group in the post application of the high-order thinking test in favor of the experimental group.

The result also showed the presence of statistical significant difference at the level of (α = 0.05) between the mean scores of students of the experimental The group in the pre- and post-applications of the high-order thinking test in favor of the post application, The study recommended several recommendations, the most important of which are the development of teacher preparation programs at the Ministry of Education in Palestine to include teaching strategies that help develop high-order thinking.
